Paste or write your script
Open TeleCuePro and paste your script into the large text area on the left. You can also type directly. The word count and estimated read time update automatically as you write.
Select any text and click Highlight to mark key phrases in gold as they scroll past.
Type
[pause] anywhere to add a visual pause cue — a reminder to breathe and slow down.
Click Preview to see how your text will appear in the prompter before starting.
2
Adjust your settings
Use the panel on the right to configure the prompter to your setup. All settings apply instantly — no need to restart.
Speed controls how fast the text scrolls (1 = very slow, 20 = very fast). Start at 3–5 and adjust during playback.
Font Size defaults to 48px. Increase it if reading from a distance, or decrease for a more compact script view.
Enable ALL CAPS for easier reading during fast scrolling. Toggle Mirror Mode if using a glass teleprompter.
3
Start the prompter
Click the golden Start Prompter button. The page switches to full-screen prompter mode. Press the Play button (or hit Space) to begin scrolling.
Use keyboard shortcuts to control everything without touching your mouse:

4
Use your phone as a remote (optional)
In the control bar at the bottom, click the phone icon (Remote). A QR code and session link appear. Scan the QR code with any phone — no app needed. Your phone becomes a wireless remote control.
The phone remote works across different networks — you can share the link with a colleague or assistant in another room.
The remote shows the current play state and speed in real time, and responds within milliseconds.
5
Use Overlay Mode for recording (optional)
Click the Overlay button in the control bar. The prompter background becomes transparent, letting you position it over your video recording app or OBS. Drag the TeleCuePro window to sit in front of your camera view — read your script while appearing to look naturally at the camera.
Use the opacity slider to find the right balance between reading comfort and seeing through to your recording app.
